City sightseeing tour (regular)

Our 45-minutes-long sightseeing tour starts and ends at the PORTA NIGRA (Black Gate), which is the famous landmark of Trier. You will see the most important attractions of Trier.

Information recorded in English, German, Dutch or French accompany you during the trip through Trier.

You will pass narrow lanes, look at beautiful civil houses, especially the HOUSE OF KARL-MARX (Karl-Marx-Haus), many churches, e.g. the CATHEDRAL (Dom) and the CHURCH OF OUR LADY (Liebfrauenkirche).

While the ride you will admire several Roman buildings as for example the BASILIKA and the IMPERIAL BATHS (Kaiserthermen), but you will also see buildings of the middle age (see tour for more information).

Of course, we accept group reservations but you can also obtain the tickets without any problems immediately at the conductor of the train.

We also offer the possibility to arrange special city sightseeing tours to your own wishes.

Two trains are on duty every day from March to December, from January to February they circulate on week-ends when weather conditions are favourable.

Group travels can be taken through to anytime after booking.

During the main season from April to October our 45-minute-long sightseeing tour starts between 10 am and 6 pm with two trains every 30 minutes.

From November to March departure will be hourly between 10 am and 5 pm.
